Our
mission:
To create unique and compelling artistic furniture that inspires a sense of beauty, enjoyment and peace, through the skillful execution of both innovative and multiculturally influenced designs, measuring excellence and success, not by quantity, but by quality.
What we do:
Satya
Mosaics specializes in the creation of beautiful, elegant and innovative tile
and stone mosaic inlaid furniture, supported by original design wrought iron
frames. Our unique creations marry the aesthetics of fine art with the superb
quality, high functionality and precision craftsmanship of fine furniture.
Each table and bench is individually hand-crafted, with meticulous attention
to detail, and incorporates an eclectic range of materials imported from all
over the globe, including ceramic, porcelain, terra cotta and metallic tiles,
along with tumbled marble, assorted travertines, tinted glass and custom wrought
iron.
We also boast the innovation of the embedded Moroccan tea tray in some of
our indoor tables, adding authenticity to the rich and fabled Moroccan ritual
of tea service.
The appeal of Satya Mosaics furniture is further enhanced by the fact that
every piece of furniture is not only beautiful and functional, it is also
a unique work of art. We dont have any factories or production lines. We
are not furniture manufacturers. We are artists. Each piece
is created by hand with heart, soul, diligence and care. Nothing is mass produced
and in effect, each piece is essentially one of a kind, imbued with the uniqueness,
energy and love of the people who create them (that would be us).
Every piece is structurally designed to be lasting, sturdy, durable, easy
to clean and maintain, and is rust and weather proof.
Satya Mosaics tables and benches are great for indoors or outdoors (with the
exception of the Moroccan tray tables which are indoor only) and serve as
wonderful additions to any living room, dining room, patio, poolside, lounge,
foyer, or commercial space such as theaters, hotels, restaurants and bars.
Wherever you place them, they are sure to beautify your space, WOW your guests
with their vibrancy and style, and bring you lasting enjoyment for years to
come, with their harmoniously infused old world style and contemporary chic.
Who we are:
Satya
Mosaics is the result of the collaborative creative efforts of two artists:
Father and son, Al and Segev Perets.
AL
Born in Morocco and raised among the bright colors, vivid
scents and colorful flavors of the Saharan landscape, Al's internal artist
was sewn in a culturally distinctive, yet diversified and rich bed of creative
soil, having grown up around the bazaars full of artists and craftsmen creating
beautiful treasures all around him. He brought his wealth of cultural experience
and penchant for masterful craftsmanship with him to the United States in
1979, along with his young family. Passing on his cultural heritage and knowledge
of craftsmanship to his son, Al and Segev have worked together to create the
beautiful furniture and mosaic artwork that are the foundation of Satya Mosaics.
SEGEV
Born in Israel, Segev moved to the United States as a small
child of 3 years old. Even from such a young age, his affinity for art was
always profound. An artist through and through, in heart and in mind, drawing,
painting, writing, sculpting and mosaic art are among his preferred media.
Segev's pesonal and intellectual development took him through undergraduate
studies of cultural anthropology at the University of California, San Diego,
and graduate studies in Transpersonal Psychology in the Graduate School for
Holistic Studies at JFK University. Segev's intense thirst for knowledge and
meaning, and explorations of human life, history, evolution, psychology, spirituality
and love are an integral pat of his person as well as his art. Satya Mosaics
was born as a joint venture in the direction of manifesting both his and his
father's creativities to their full potential. Segev sees Satya Mosaics as
merely the beginning of a wildly successful and refreshingly diversified creative
career.
